| Name: Gozen Karin Position: Third Year student Five words to describe her: Bitchy, Studious, High-strung, Stubborn, Fangirl. Personality: For Karin, making friends have never been easy. Upon first glance, she seems cool, calm, and collected, however, with a closer inspection (and trust her victims when they say you don’t want to get too close) she’s very overbearing and high-strung with constant PMS. She easily finds fault with everyone, except for her current crush and junior, Uchiha Sasuke. In her eyes,the young man is a god who could do no wrong. It doesn’t help that she falls in love too easily either. Karin does not trust people easily, but if she deems a person worthy of her friendship, she is truly loyal and protecting. Even if it means putting up with their other annoying friends and followers. She keeps herself well informed of the comings and goings of the school, picking up on all the latest and juiciest gossip, as well as keeping track of all activities and the lives of students. She would be ideal for a position related to student council. As far as school activities go, she likes to relieve stress by running track and field. She prefers to get to school early and running without anyone else around. |
| Why I Am the Way I Am |
History: Recalling her childhood brought Karin happy memories of a loving home with the perfect three person family with the little dog and without the white picket fence. Her father was kind and gentle, and her mother stayed at home to take care of her and the affairs of the house. It would’ve been like a fairy tale, but her father had the fatal flaw of working long hours and taking business trips for his occupation, and her mother had kept company over while her father was away. She never really picked up on the fact that the laughter in her parents’ bedroom was only present while her father was away. At the age of ten, however, her father had realized all too late that his wife had not remained faithful. Despite her mother’s adultery, however, she naively chose to stay with her mother after the divorce because all of her important memories lacked her father. Karin was always a studious child while at primary school, and came home to find different men, very wealthy men, visiting her mother. When the visitors got to be too much and Karin asked about her father, her mother cursed his name and repeated to Karin once more how her father had never been there and how she had worked so hard to take care of Karin all by herself. Karin loved her mother, and so she never questioned any further. It was in middle school when the kids had teased her to no extent on the wiles of her mother. This, with the addition of hitting puberty, drove Karin into the constant PMS mode that has yet to go away. The few friends she did have left from primary school left her to join the cliques and she was left alone. At first, she tried to follow in their footsteps and join the cliques, but the girls shunned her, saying that she would steal their boyfriends. It was true that she remained popular with the guys after hitting her growth spurt before the other girls, but she didn’t trust many guys until the second year of middle school when she had fallen in love with a first year transfer student. That sparked her interest in the opposite gender, and ever since then she has been notorious for falling in love quickly and back out again with a similar speed. Last year, her mother got engaged to a lawyer in Konoha and they moved in with him. She transferred into the school system as a first year high school student right before the school year started. With a new surrounding and new faces, she easily blended into the shadows for the first part of the year, soon blossoming out of the background with her cool, distant demeanor. Some may find her admirable, some may find her intimidating, and some might actually get to see the real Karin underneath. That’s completely up to her. Now, it’s time to enjoy her third year, and it certainly makes things go a lot easier when the Uchiha-kouhai is so easy on the eyes. |
